Blog at 3AM, why not? I have only had heart burn one time in my life...right now is the second. I think I packed every single medication, just in case, but the only one I forgot was something for heart burn. I remember the last time I had it, I drank a bunch of milk and it went away. Well, I don't have milk. The closest thing I have to anything dairy is some stale goldfish and some vanilla wafers so I tried those. Didn't work. Hopefully it will go away soon and if not, I will walk across the street to the pharmacy to see what they have. All of the food is extremely spicy here so I'm guessing they probably have something for heartburn.  The other reason that I'm up at 3AM is because there is a funeral this weekend, which means on Thursday night they play music ALL night long. It sounds like the band is playing right next to my bed. Although it's kind of obnoxious because I'm trying to sleep, its pretty cool the way they honor their loved ones for 3 straight days. I got home around 11:30 tonight and there were still people every where. They were dancing, drinking and celebrating the life of their loved one that passed. I'm hoping to watch some of the funeral over the next few days. I had a pretty good day at school. The students didn't do much work today because tomorrow is a holiday. It's the birthday of the first president so the kids won't have school. I met with my program director and got a list of books and supplies that the school is in need of. After school I went and got prices for different things. I plan to get the materials this week if anyone would like to donate any money. You can go to my website helpsenderintoafrica.weebly.com and click the donate button on the bottom of the page. I can transfer the money directly to my Wells Fargo account and withdraw it at the ATM here. It makes a lot more sense to do that than to send a box because shipping is so so expensive. The materials here are pretty cheap so it won't be difficult to get them. I'm really hoping to get a good amount of things because the kids desperately need them in order to start learning. Some of the classes have no books at all. I'm hoping that I will have enough to have at least one full set of books for each grade. That way at least the teacher will know what to teach. Right now they do the same things over and over again and are not learning anything new. I wish I had enough money to buy every student the books they need but it just isn't possible. I'm not really sure what the plans are for the weekend. I will probably relax tomorrow since I'm not getting any sleep tonight. I talked to Geoff about going back to Anamoba Beach Resort to drop off some bags to sell at the gift shop. Geoff is working at the Special Needs school that I will be at next month. The children make bags and then sell them in the community to raise money. I'm pretty excited to be part of that :) It Alex's last weekend in Cape Coast so I'm really hoping to spend some time with her. There are still a lot of things I want to see here before I leave. Its hard to believe that I've already been here for 3 weeks. I better attempt to get a little sleep. Really really hoping this heartburn would go away. Makes me thankful that I don't get it all the time like a lot of people. Ouch. I don't think I've ever wanted a glass of milk as bad as I want one right now!Love and miss you all!! XOXOUpdate...I officially got no sleep and the hurt burn never let up. I woke up and showered and headed off to the pharmacy. Medication is so cheap here and you don't need a prescription for anything. Kind of crazy. I'm hanging out at the ProWorld house for a few hours and then I'll go meet up with Alex and her friends from the states that are here visiting. Should be a fun day. PS...Saw that BSU won :) I'm still sporting my BSU shirt today! GO BRONCOS!
