Ok so I feel like I wrote my first journal entry yesterday...where the heck as time went?! I'm still running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to figure out what I just got myself in to! Oh well no turning back now!

This month has been a hectic one to say the least! I applied for my visa, received my vaccinations and shopped for the children of Ghana all in one month! Its the day before my departure and I still need to go shopping for my own self, pray that my luggage isn't over 50 lbs and say goodbye to my husband and chunky :-(

My son finally realized that I am going somewhere far away and staying for a while after he saw my luggage sitting out and he asked me was I having a sleepover in Africa! He want's to sleepover in Africa too! LOL...the he went on to ask me why I wanted to leave him?! He made my heart hurt! Needless to say, I'm trusting, believing and praying that with all my family that's supporting me he will be ok, stay active and never have a chance to miss me! That would be ideal!

So over the past month I've had a chance to meet my host brothers Brown and Solomon through Facebook (thank God for technology) and I must say they are an absolute delight and have definitely calmed my fears and worries about being so far away from home and everything I know! At this point I don't think its kicked in yet what I'm about to get myself into! I'm hoping it'll take a least a week to hit me! lol

In the meantime, I'm going to go finish preparing for my departure and I ask for everyone to just simply send up a little prayer for me for safe travels and lifetime experiences! As the journey begins I will try my best to keep you all updated with plenty of information, pictures and videos!

Congrats!!! I'm so happy for you, everyone doesn't get the opportunity to go to Africa! I can only imagine what you're about to experience. You're Chunky is going to be fine, you have a great support system.

I know you're going to workout while you're in Africa so I guess I can hold it down at the gym(I ain't no punk) lol!!
