  • Day of Departure!

Travel Journal from United States Pennsylvania, United States | Fri Jul 27, 2012

As I type my first journal entry, I am hoping I have everything I need for Peru. I just bought my last item, gifts (Phillies t-shirts) for the two daughters who will be in my family. After learing that my homestay family has two young daugters, ages 2 and 4, I became even more excited for this experience. As a former camp counselor with an interest in pediatrics, I love …

Travel Journal from Peru Cusco, Peru | Wed Jun 13, 2012

It is very surprising how much you can learn in just one week, and I´m not just talking about what I have learned in class either. So rather than just write a letter I thought I would share …

  • First few days in Cusco

Travel Journal from Peru Cusco, Peru | Wed May 19, 2010

¡Hola! I´ve now been in Cusco for a few days and am absolutley loving it. The food here is great, although I am craving some ice cold water. I guess I will just have to wait until I get back to the U.S. for that! The people here never stop feeding you. When they say that lunch is big and the other meals are smaller they are lying. All the meals …
